Why come to us?
1. Because we have a small group: there are only 2 or 3 children your age in a group at the pre-school. Never more, not even later.
2. Because we don't set the time for you: You choose when you're free. We adapt to your timetable, to the distance you are coming from. We offer 3 periods a day: 14:00-16:30 (3 lessons), 15:00-17:30 (3 lessons), 16:00-17:30 (2 lessons).
3. Because you can come to us on Saturday mornings, so if you live in the Budapest area, you can still conveniently come from 8:45 to 11:45 (3 lessons) or 11:15 to 13:30 (3 lessons).
4. Because with us the preparation material is not set by the teacher, but by your knowledge (not your knowledge).
5. We practise what you can't do, what you didn't learn at school but might need to do in writing, or what you did learn but not to the same depth, or what you've forgotten because you didn't think it was important.
6. Because you can ask questions while you're learning. And you'll get clear, concise, detailed answers to your questions from us, from many angles, until you and we are sure that you understand the subject well enough to convince the admissions committee.
7. Of course we explain to you, and of course we check that you are confident in your knowledge. If not, we will explain and practice again what is important to you.
8. Because in our school, the ratio of maths/Hungarian/logic tasks is not determined by the curriculum, but by what you need more of.
9. Because only teachers, specialised teachers, teach here: we have been teaching this way for 16 years, our successes are renowned, children bring each other and come back to us for different purposes after many years.
10. Because we not only give you preparation in the two entrance subjects: maths and Hungarian, but you also have the opportunity to take physics, chemistry and history: to correct your mid-term marks, to prepare for a difficult, important exam, test or exam. Whether it's just once or over a period of time, until the desired result is achieved. A successful admission is a combination of three things: a written exam with as high a score as possible (better than others), a mid-term report with as many A's as possible, and a convincing oral exam in March.
11. We're flexible to your learning pace: you can ask us for a higher number of hours of preparation so that you can make the most of your time in all areas on the day of your admission, as we only have time to prepare for your admission together from September to March. This is a short time, with many breaks from school.
12. Because with us, you can study during the autumn and winter holidays, when you have time and as much as you want.
13. Because we also give you the opportunity to practice at home, which you can do if you want, and we will fix it anyway (if we want to, if not 🙂 )
14. Because our work is known to many: if your parents ask others, one in three families and almost every maths and Hungarian school teacher has heard of us, and of the decent and effective work we do in the Thales Circle.
15. Because we know the requirements of the secondary school you are applying to. So (after a while) we can also give you personal advice to help you work together.
16. Because after 10 classes, you and your parents can decide to try your luck elsewhere.
